Sound is a vibration that propagates as an acoustic wave through a transmission medium such as a gas, liquid or solid. The reception of such waves and their perception by the brain creates what we hear.
Properties of sound: pitch, volume, timbre, duration
Old guitar strings don’t sound as good as new ones because the imperfections on the strings cause irregularities in the sound waves.
