• keep your identity small.
  • never forget that luck has been a major contributor behind your accomplishments. we’re all just products of our environment.
  • your character is the moving average of your actions. you are what you do, not what you want to do.
  • don’t do things to become someone. focus on doing important work, not being someone who does important work. focus on which problems you want to solve, not what legacy you’d like to leave.
  • introspection is good, navel-gazing is not. you don’t always need to know exactly what you think and how you feel and why you feel the way you do. your problems aren’t that serious, nor are they special. don’t assign so much importance to them. objectively assess, implement changes, and move on. no need to self-dramatize.
